34 – Ii Kibarashi – So Fey




Early one morning, floating silently up the stairs....

He paused at the sound of raised voices.

Listened.


“’Staban, you are an idiot. You make me ashamed that I share a continent with you.”

“He wasn’t *hurt*, he was drugged! He has no injuries, but still he mopes around here like a delicate flower, all tragic and dramatic! Everyone hovers over him! What kind of man behaves like that?”

A snort.

“Shall I make you a list? Number one: he is not a ‘man’, he is a Banshee. Number two: you do not know what happened to him or the effects of Human drugs on magical physiology. Number three: he is not *moping*! He was affected by the drugs; they do take time to run their course. And now he is doing his regular job, just as always. Number four: do not take out your personal frustrations on Duo! It is certainly not his fault that *your* female has a schwarm for him.”

“She does not!”

“Then what are you so upset about, Estaban? You are behaving like a jealous lover. Did you entertain lust for Duo? Are you angry that he chose Heero? Or are you angry that Heero chose *him*? What?”

“No! He’s just so... so fey!”

“Excuse me; I am also ‘so fey’. I do not see you frothing at the mouth over me.”

“Enrique... He’s just so... so... weak.”

“Weak?! Duo is not weak! Where do you get these notions?”

“His yarns and beads! Women’s hobbies! He *sews*!”

The sound of an angrily tapping foot.

“I will not discuss this with you; you are not only insulting Duo, you are insulting me! And Inazuma! Do you think we do not have the same ‘women’s’ hobbies among our Clans? Are you so concerned for your own manhood that you must impugn ours? Has being the only Human male in this office finally rotted your brain? Bastante! We are not speaking until you get your head straight.”

Hovering silently in the stairwell, Wufei bared his numerous teeth and narrowed his glinting eyes.

Hey... it occurs to me that Wufei's counseling sessions must be working, seeing as how Estaban is still alive and all...

*grin* It was pretty good except I think the guy must have almost dropped it, cause it was all slid across the box. :P I took her to the grocery too and let her pick, so we ended up having chips and salsa at one point, and then ice cream sometime after the pizza. Before she was done, we watched fourteen freakin' episodes of anime. O.o;;

I would probably do that, except that the kid 'appropriated' my DVD player, so it's now in his room. Haven't had the energy to go retreive it yet.

Ooh, if Estaban had seen him in the stairwell I'm sure he would have soiled himself thoroughly. And then Wu still would dunk him in soy sauce after cleaning him up a tad. All in all, he's probably still lucky that it wasn't Heero that heard him. But dead is still dead I guess, if it be at the hands of an Chinese Imperial Five-Toed Were-Dragon or a pissy Wyvern...

I don't think dead is an option here... Wufei has been doing very well in his therapy. ^__^ But nothing says he wouldn't spread the information around, and the Witches in the office might take a notion to get... stern. You know how vicious women can be....

Well, while I agree wholeheartedly that everyone in the office should have a replay of that conversation, and that a nice creative application of duct tape might be in order, I don't believe that any jury in all of the Magical World would convict Wufei if he "accidentally" bit that poop 30-40 times...
