It's the little things that tickle me. ^__^ The sillier and goofier, the better.

How could I have forgotten the *splat*? ^o^

Oh hey! The kid and I went for our walk tonight and saw a big ol' owl! ^____^

Not sure if he was a great horned... I don't think so. Bigger than a barn owl though. But woe, he did not give us any messages. :P

Well, this was down in the park. Not a lot of traffic, and right near the playground area where the speed limit is supposed to be like... fifteen miles an hour anyway.
Also saw a raccoon stalking a couple of picnicers. *snicker* Obviously used to getting hand-outs. The guy was trying to scare it away by yelling at it and throwing... scraps of food. ^o^ Dork.

"Rocky, quick; he's throwing sesame buns! Grab those burgers!"

The ex hit an owl on base once. >.< Poor owl.... It was a big one, too.

I used to work third shift and I saw this one big old owl every morning. I was heading home from work and he was heading back to roost. One night he scared the crap out of me on my way TOO work; flew right over the truck so close it was this WTF was THAT?! moment. And for about five minutes, before my brain figured out what it was, I had this weird monster movie moment where I just KNEW it was a bat, it had flown into the car, and if I looked in the rear-view mirror, I was going to see a man in the backseat with glowing eyes, staring back at me! ^o^

O.O This was going INTO work, not coming off-shift? O~kay... Were you disappointed when he wasn't there? ^.o

I've seen the owls out around here at night, but I think they know better than to swoop on moving vehicles. I've never had that close an encounter with one. I almost hit a turkey vulture once... Stupid thing tried to filch my "Jack" ball. =p

And bats are fairly common, but they look like large mosquitos in the headlights. ^__^

Well, mind you... I thought it was a very BIG bat, which is what started the Dracula thoughts. *grin* And no... never been much into the vampire thing. :P
