Sooo... I am in the midst of moving house... finally. New place is very nice. Minimal carpeting, central air, an actual usable patio and a live-on-site manager. ^___^ Problem is all the small crap that accumulates when you live somewhere for more than ten years... I am into the final stages of terminal whine. Odd-sized stuff, little bits of important-but-unknown stuff, stuff that needs to move, but I'm running out of things to move it *in*. Lemme tell you, reusable shopping bags come in very handy when moving. Truck and helpers will be here tomorrow... Anything that doesn't fit on the truck will go in Akachan for however many trips next week.

I will try to get some fic up on S&B today - my internet connection gets interrupted tomorrow, but I probably won't be coherent by then. Internet and land-line; no TV though. Gonna try Roku after a good recommendation from one of the Birds. ^__^

Light some hamsters for me; this is gonna be a tough weekend.

Good luck! I moved last weekend and was much the same. I'd been in the place 8 years and moved to somewhere half the size. I'd spent the previous 2 weeks 'downsizing' my collection of crap via donation, gifts to friends and the recycling/rubbish tip. It was quite freeing, actually :)

Now I'm realizing my desk is too big. I STILL have too many books, but apart from that, this size is just about right for me.

I just need more organized minions. >_> We used to have a garage... so you can imagine how the downsizing went. It's all in my living/dining room until I get it properly sorted. *sigh* At least it looks like I'm going to live. ^__^

Nah, she's only like 20 minutes away. But easier on her for the 8 o'clock class she has this semester. Which means for like Thanksgiving and Christmas she can be home as much (or as little) as she would like!

Sometimes you can get boxes for free from fast food places and grocery stores. Fruit boxes are great for packing items.

I have a metric tonne of copy paper boxes salvaged from my last three jobs. They took care of almost everything. Love those neat lids. ^___^ My reusable shopping bags handled the rest.
