I'm amazed that there are still teachers, given the crap they put up with. And not surprised by how many bail for something less stressful. Between the government idiocy, the parents and the kids... *sigh* O_o

And that is why those of us who understand this, call it the 'All children left behind' because in the end, you are teaching to the lower end of the spectrum, trying to get them up to speed. Poor teachers and poor kids!

I've never understood how exactly it was supposed to work; I've just seen that it clearly *isn't* working. And why is it all on the teachers, anyway? The kids have parents/guardians - why aren't they being held to some ridiculous standard? O_o
