According to my walking encyclopedia of all things film, that was Madelaine Kahn. Just off the top of my head, I seem to recall that she had a bit of a resemblance to the original Bride, Elsa Lanchester. ^____^ And I'm sure the makeup was used to enhance that.

That's right! I kept thinking Bernadette Peters, but knew that wasn't right. And, of course, was WAY too lazy to go look it up! :D I should find a copy of Young Frankenstein and make the kid watch it... classic stuff, there. :D
