I may or may not have mentioned attending the local county fair last month. I always come away with pics of the animals and the floral displays, so... pictures. ^___^

Alpacas! These little guys had already been sheared, so they look like babies, but they're about a year old. ^___^

A friendly Brahma; note the 'hump'.

Taking the turkey out for a stroll.

An amazing velvet cow. The coat looks and feels like velvet. And its name is Fuzzyface. ^___^

Garden art! Makes me wish for a garden. *sigh*

Get away from me! I told you I left the plots at home!

Pricklies!

G-Force!

Cool plant. The label was torn off, so I have no idea what it is, but it was nifty. ^___^

Frog seating. O_o

Staghorn fern. I love these things; they're bizarre.

Buddha frog. Ceramic planter about 27" tall (65-70cm).

Creative use of a dilapidated piano.

Decorative parrot on that stool; great camo. ^__^

A 2 in camo, but a 10 in dignity.

Guard Llama is guarding the alpacas.

Cuddles.

Wufei's prize bonsai. ^___^ This actually is a grand prize winner; the bit of blue on the right is its trophy.

Beaded neckpiece. If I could do this kind of beadwork... well, I wouldn't be looking for a job. ^___^

And now we see if this is too many pics. ^___^

These were so cool. I can't really pick a favorite.

The Alpacas didn't seem real. I've never seen one in person. Bonsai trees are great. Tried to grow some, but it never worked so I have one in silk.

I admit I saved off Buddha frog as a background. Thanks for sharing. It must have been a great day with so many things to look at.

They really are adorable-looking all sheared up like that. They almost look like poodles. There are several farms around here that have both llamas and alpacas. ^___^

I find the bonsai and the Hon Bo fascinating, but I don't have the patience or the delicacy to grow them. I always get pics, though. ^__~

Most of my floral pics are on the film. My digital is just a crappy little thing and doesn't always work well indoors or for close ups, so I use the Canon for the flowers. I hope to have those ready next weekend. ^___^

I loved the Buddha frog. Some day I will have one in the corner of the living room, probably with a cat sleeping inside. ^__~

What do you mean too many? I was looking for more.

I wasn't sure how many LJ would let me stuff into one post. ^___^

I do happen to have more, but they're on film, so I need to get them developed. I'm hoping next weekend. ^___^

The alpacas are pretty cool looking and I like their guard llama.

Th white parrot was funny and proud looking. I am amazed that the birds will just stay on those stools

I'm pretty sure one of the ranchettes north of me has a few llamas on-site; I should go by and see if I can get pics. I think they are watching the sheep. ^___^

The white bird is a cockatoo; they're wonderful pets and are very trainable and affectionate. I didn't realize until he fluffed his feathers that he was real. O.o Their "mommy" came into the display and they both got very animated when they saw her. ^____^

The part where they don't sheer the heads on the alpacas makes them look reeeeeally funny! ^o^ That llama though, is damn imposing. O.O

When I first saw them, I thought "poodles!" ^____^ They're a lot more substantial-looking with all their fur intact.

Llamas all seem to have that "I know what you're thinking and I'm watching you" look. Great guardians. ^____^

I used to get pretty into it, back when I had more than a 4x12 concrete patio to deal with. =p I was the philodendron queen for a while. ^___^

The alpacas were quite friendly, probably because the llama had their backs. ^___^ The llama was more suspicious than friendly. O.o

I think Naruto might want to steal that bench for Jiraiya. And my GOD, the bunnies come at you from everywhere, don't they?

I love that bench! ^____^ Everyone should have that bench. I want to stop by the nursery that did that display and check prices on their frogs. ^___~

And these are just the digital bunnies. I'm pretty sure I have more on the film. We were there for the house rabbit judging. ^____^ Nuclear disapproval.
