I've been working! Yay! Employment! Paycheck! ^____^ Unfortunately, it'll probably be finished in a few weeks, but for now... I am productive and relevent. Except... my feet hurt... >_>

Also, I just got my computer back from a spring cleaning. He's real spiffy now; all the virii are history. ^___^ I think I'll do this every year, whether he needs it or not, just to keep on top of stuff. It's a little embarrassing, though, to realise how much I love my computer. O_o

Got a short bit of BFB here. Really short, I'm afraid. O.O I'm hoping to get some writing done this weekend, so maybe there will be more by Sunday or Monday. ^____^

BFB – Part 102 – Good Vamp Hunting

Nothing suitable for a vampire’s crypt was on Heero’s list, of course. It couldn’t be that easy.

We did come up with some requirements for vampires in general and Ctik added a few specifics. He didn’t care for basements; he really wanted a proper crypt. He preferred someplace away from other dwellings, where he wouldn’t have to worry about being spied on. Of the dozen or so possibilities on Heero’s list, a few were on large lots, and some were in areas that a crypt could be constructed underneath, but none of them made any of us happy.

Ctik was disappointed, but still hopeful when we left him at his resting place. He didn’t mind cutting his night short, he said, as we were being kind enough to help him. He really did seem like a good guy. I decided that I would have to watch myself around any other vampires I might encounter and not assume that all vamps were as benign as Ctik.

Heero made a phone call to Q when we got home and gave him a quick over-view of the Ctik affair. I didn’t exactly eavesdrop, but I couldn’t help hearing Heero’s side of the conversation. Q decided that he needed more detail and Heero arranged to send him a written report, and then he and Heero set up a fire meeting for midmorning the next day.

I kind of assumed that they would make the decisions from then on and that would be that. Little did I know.

A job! Yay! Feeling productive is vital to one's self esteem. Congrats, even if it's of finite length.

That last line sounds a bit ominous. Can't wait to see what they get involved in next. And I LOVE Ctik.

I'm always working; just not always for pay. *sigh* Paid is better right now. O.o

Ctik is turning out a good deal more lovable than I originally expected. >_> Vamps are sneaky that way. *glares at the hamsters swooning all over Ctik*

I love my computer too... I admit it. Though I feel like I should be in some sort of group. "Hi, my name is Merula and I am a computer addict."

Oo. That last line sounds cliff hangery... I wonder what Duo's in for!

Maybe we should start our own 12-step program. O.o The first step is to trade cool websites with everyone else. ^___^

He's going to need a chair shoved under his butt when he collapses. ^____^

I might get a chance to work the next phase, but no guarantees. >.<

I have to do that every now and then. >_> I forget where we are sometimes. O_O

Employment of whatever kind, is always of the good! ^_____^ And spring cleaning is always a good idea too; glad the compy is home and happy.
Who would have thought house-hunting for the undead would be so complicated? :D

And my knees are still working. ^___^ Mostly.

Well, you can't just pop a vamp into a trailer and expect him to feel secure and comfortable. ^___~

Or in an apartment next door to a clutch of Mormon prevaricators. >_> That would be a Bad Thing. O.o

I'm a little cranky with the missionaries after the political interference from Utah last election. >.< Not to mention they were in the library hogging all the internet computers while my comp was in the shop. O.o

Congratulations on the job!

I don't blame the hamsters for getting gooey over that vamp. He's a sweetie.

Have you seen the case of Easter Bunny identity theft?

Ctik really is growing on them, isn't he?
They'll need a very special real estate agent for this kind of house-hunt.

I'll have to join the ♥ computers anonymous. I built my desktop from scratch, its network name is Shenlong. (the laptop is Wufei...)

Like a fungus after Katrina. O.o

You built your own?! Wow! The local community college has classes in that periodically, and I've stared at it for a while, but I am so clueless. Anything weird happens and it's straight to the tech with him. O_O

^___^

LOL *envisioning furry fungal vampire*

That is one problem with a homebrew machine - you're the only tech that will look at it! The other problem is, once you're done better stuff comes along, and then it's off with the access panel and in with the $$. 'cause if you built it, you want it to be GOOD.
at one point the desktop system was worth more than the old car. >_
