I'm just having waaay too much fun piddling around here today!

I'm *supposed* to be writing... But it's been going so well the last few days, that I just want to 'happy dragon dance.'

Anything to NOT think about tomorrow and work and the fact that I'm probably going to be in trouble, and it's not my fault! Damn suppliers... How am I supposed to know they're having production problems?!

*sigh* I've tried not to, but it's such an egregious thing, I can't help it. I ordered this stuff as soome as it showed up on my flagged list, but the manufacture had production problems (seems to be a lot of that right now), so the supplier isn't going to get it until the 26th, so we won't get it until at least the 29th. We're totally out, so I don't know what's going to happen. And of course, we have no alternate set up. That's what's really freaking me out about a lot of the stuff we use. We use one particular brand or type and get it from one particular supplier, so if that breaks down, we're up that creek without a shovel. I told the new QC/Tech guy that we really need to change that, because of just these kinds of problems. But tomorrow I get to sit in the production meeting and have people bitch about how I shouldn't have waited so long to order. Like I know how screwed up the supply chain is going to be?

As usual, the galloping anxiety was for naught. Shiny-shoes wasn't there so the meeting was put off until tomorrow, and Boss-San just shrugged and laughed when I told him about the delay in delivery. And then he sent me an email agreeing with my suggestion that we... um... widen our horizons when it comes to ingredients. So I felt much better.
Until I went delving into google to research lecithin, and as a side bar, soy.
All I can say is, I am never willingly touching soy-anything ever again. Except for soy sauce, since it's fermented. The rest of that stuff - no friggin' way! Talk about slow poison!

I don't think so, given how prevalent the stuff is now in our food; it would just give you nightmares... I'm the queen of denial when I want to be, but I had trouble sleeping last night.
If you really want to know, google 'soy' and look for a site called something like 'westonprice'.
