Duo shut off the TV in their hotel room and relaxed against the bed pillows with a sigh. “Hey Heero…”

“Yes, dear?” Heero turned from hanging up his towel.

“Oh, don’t start that again. It just occurred to me… my bike… I won’t be able to ride anymore.”

“Um… Probably not… Maybe we could work out a sidecar arrangement?”

“Nah… I should just sell it and free up the space in the garage. I just hate to give him up, you know, after I got everything just the way I wanted it.”

“We’re not that tight for space yet; it can wait a while.” He settled onto the bed next to Duo.

“Are you being hopeful?”

“What if I am?”

“…”

“They did mention that improvements are being made all the time. Just because you don’t ‘fit’ any of the current technology doesn’t mean you won’t in the future.”

“…damn…”

“Duo…?” he asked with concern. Duo had turned his head, hiding his face in the shadows.

“Sorry… I just… Sometimes you… Whoever called you ‘cold’ is just an idiot…”

“Hey… You’re Shinigami; I’ve learned to expect the unexpected.” He wrapped his arms around Duo, snuggling close and kissing the curve of his throat.

“…love you so much…”

“And I you… We’re keeping the bike.”

Ummm, yes. She's a *Marine* (not my first choice of occupation for her) and working with computers. She grew up on GW and so *of course* I had to share the sparklies with her!

And should I tell you now that my bd present for next yr is a plane ticket to Okinawa, Japan? Yep. I'm saving my pennies...

Oki.... O.O Oh, I loved Okinawa! I was only there for 13 months, but I loved it! I so wanted to go back, but the toad(ex) wasn't a particularly "good" Marine and got separated before we could. >.< Is she north island or south? We were at Hansen; Kin-Cho, lived in the Ville. ^____^
