Will wonders never cease...
Dec. 2nd, 2003 07:42 pmWalked into my new job (Day 11) and discovered that everyone had forgotten that I wasn't going to be there yesterday. They panicked, thinking that they had run me off after the Wednesday From Hell last week... Kind of scary; all those people being... nice to me. Hmm... Guess they need me. What a concept.
Even the weird-scary guy in the next kennel was not so weird and scary. But I may have to hurt the production manager if he doesn't return my office supply catalog tomorrow. Never get between an office supply junkie and her catalog.
On the plus side, he did give me a schedule for ordering the raw materials for production. Maybe now we can start getting beyond the Chicken Little dance every other day.
I'm getting pretty good at the ordering, not so good at playing phone tag with vendors.
I posted another "ii kibarashi" for BFB at Spandex Space. I have no trouble coming up with those things for the Banshee, but Chibi just doesn't seem to lend itself to sidebars. Too bad, because they're kind of fun. It's nice to let my brain frolic off-lead now and then. And gives me something to do with the ideas that attack in the middle of the night. Although, I think I'd going to have to duct tape the dream muse to the cat pole; she's getting waaaay too free with that damn wand... She and those damned hamsters... 781 now... Anybody want a hamster? Please? Comes with a bag of Hershey's Special Dark... They can swim...
