And this entry is so accurate regarding 'cool sports' snobs. ^____^

Oh, put down the food and drinks first. ^_~

WAhahaha, thanks so much for posting that, I've never read Mr. Thorne before but he truly is hilarious. I put it on my FB in the hopes it goes viral.

They deserve everything they get. And I really do hope it goes viral. Thanks again, still LOL'ing over here. :D

Yep. Was buying board equipment for the nephew, and the sales clerk took one look at my over 40, overweight self and decided to be a prick. My nephew live in Salt Lake City, you know, where the winter olympics were held awhile back. He spends every minute he can boarding. I needed serious equipment, I got serious attitude. Ehwhon lost a decent sized sale to Play It Again Sports, where I got good quality used gear from people who took that time to talk to me about the boy's skill level, first.

Cannot stand snobby shops.

And that's what happens when you don't have a little thing called 'customer service'! Lol!!

All they had to do was exchange the damn gloves... ^___^ Wonder if they'll do that now? ^___^

There are a lot of surf/skate/snow shops around here and 90% of them have that same snotty attitude. >_< We also have Play It Again Sports and they really do seem to have *customer service*. I'd shop them first for most anything. ^___^

It's funny how the places that toot their 'customer service' the most are usually the places that treat the customers the worst. >_< In some places it's like a corporate rule. ^___^ And Sap help the poor employee who actually tries to *do* customer service... *shakes head*

Heh. ^___^ I only use that warning when I've been a victim of the soda-out-the-nose.

I must say WTF and agree with that crazy Australian bit, being one myself. I've grown up in CA since the age of 8, and with the exception of Mervins when they were going out of business, never had anything near this happen. I liked the final jab of the snowboard ad again, even after he was supposedly blocked by that Anton shorty. It's funny these pricks go on about no one else understanding them etc when they have such an elitist attitude. I hope the bit about his rib as a kid wasn't real though. Ick.

I didn't have the heart to attempt the Mervyn's going-out-of-business sale... I was too sad. O.o

Sadly, a lot of the specialty shops do have this attitude. >_> You can always tell the skate/surf shops around here that have great customer service - they're the ones that last. ^___^
