Right now, I have a question. Does anyone have any silly, ridiculous, inappropriate-for-the-situation, "huh?" sort of revelation they would be willing to share? I had a "moment" of TMI/absurdity/WTF?! this morning and wondered if other people ever do the same.

I realized, as I was getting dressed, that I always reach for cotton underwear when I'm wearing jeans or shorts for the day, but when I'm wearing a skirt or dress I go straight for the stack of nylon/polyester/otherwise shiny-slippery-sometimes frilly panties. I do this automatically. I've probably *been* doing this for years and just never noticed before.

Hm. It just hit me also that when I am driving, I always touch the shift to reassure myself that the vehicle is indeed in gear at every stop. O_o Now, why would I do that? If it's not in gear, it ain't moving when the light turns green, so why am I always checking...? >_>

I'll bet I could fill a notebook with these things.... ^___^

I don't know that any of that was inappropriate! But I know what you mean. I have this thing with eggs...I rearrange or remove the eggs so that the carton is 'balanced.' I noticed it a few years ago and have evidently been doing it forever. Also, I check and recheck things like locks/doors/windows to make sure they are really locked. I don't check the gear when I drive an automatic, but when I drive a stick I have to put it in neutral and recheck it at every stop.

Well... I follow the discretion thing most times, but you never know when someone is going to get their knickers in a knot over something I find amusing. ^___^

My roommate takes eggs at random from the carton and I always have to 'tidy' it up. Makes it easier for me to tell if we need more eggs at a glance. >_>

I do check the indicator when I'm driving an automatic. O.o

I also have a bicycle that I haven't ridden in three years. The cat uses the tires as a scratching post. >_> I'm pretty sure it'll need new tires before I try riding it again. *sigh*

Does this count (pun intended)? I always have to have my dollar bills face side up and facing in the same direction in my wallet. It's a hold-over from former careers.

I'm always surprised when I get money from the bank or a cashier and the bills are all topsy-turvy. We were always taught to keep the cash drawer straight so it would be easier to identify counterfeits and to make balancing out faster.

Well... first thing that comes to mind in the 'weird' category is this work restroom habit I have. The stall on the end had some kind of hole in the wall before they retiled, and I discovered that if you tap this one tile with a fingernail, it sounds different than the others. And since then, I have to tap the tile every time I go to the restroom, like I'm reassuring myself that I'm really in the right place.
Or is that a bit weirder than you had in mind? >_>

I have no equivalent bathroom habits, I think... Except for sweeping the floor of free-roaming kitty litter. They kick it out, I step on it. =p So I sweep it against the wall and once a week I vacuum up the sweepings. ^____^

I do that too! ^____^ I've been a cash-handler for 2/3 of my working life and I always find it easier to count when all the bills are faced. Especially back in the days before everyone had a bill-counting machine. ^_o

I always have to face my paper change when I get back to the truck. >_> Used to do it at the register when I got my change, but the people behind me had no patience for my little obsession. ^___^

My son makes me crazy because he wads everything up into these nasty little dollar-balls and just shoves them into a pocket. >_< Males. *meh*
